Scheiner has a long tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. We are proud to be associated with the many dedicated organizations that give of their time and resources to making our communities a better place to live.
Some of our Favorite Charities
Scheiner also has a tradition of acknowledging our clients, friends and associates with a holiday gift. For 2013, our approach to this annual event was unique in terms of the gift itself and the time of distribution. This year, we shared the gift of giving during the Thanksgiving season. A beautifully packaged envelope was delivered to each recipient, enclosed with a crisp new $50 bill and a branded notecard. The notecard included a message requesting them to make a difference in someone’s life by paying it forward. We asked that they take the $50 and pay it forward by recognizing someone for a job well done or simply making a donation to their favorite charity.
As hoped, this gift sparked a feeling of good will and excitement at the prospect of paying it forward and we’d like to share a sampling of the feedback we received (see below). We look forward to continuing this charity event for years to come.
"What an awesome idea! I now want to emulate that for next year. I was happy to make a donation to Ayni Education International, an organization that builds schools for girls in Afghanistan."

"My name is Ashley Barrett and Wendy Barrett is my Mother. I wanted to send you this thank you note to let you know how much I appreciated your pay it forward Holiday card you sent to my Mom and to tell you how we paid it forward. I am a Physical Therapy student in Nashville, Tennessee and have been working with patients in their homes for the past few months. One of my patients was in a desperate need of a wheelchair ramp, so with the help of my Grandparents, we built him a ramp so he could exit his some safely. My Mom thought this was a perfect opportunity to pay it forward, and thanks to you we fully funded the wheel chair ramp for this patient. Your pay it forward idea was such a blessing for this patient. The world needs more people like you in it!"
